Woods Tax District Board
of Directors and Flood and Erosion Control Board Meeting May
12th, 2010 Members present:
Eric Werstler, Cliff Moon and
Rande Chmura, Keith Pezzetti, Jack Gibbs, Steve Heath and Tom Pandolfi.
Absent: Glen Humes, Margaret
Houlihan Others Present: Fred Chmura. Clerks
Report: A motion was made by Rande Chmura and seconded by Tom Pandolfi to accept
the minutes from the May 12th meeting. The
motion was approved unanimously. Health, fire and safety: Speed
bumps will be installed at the “T”.
A
letter requesting police patrol will be sent to the state police. Roads: Tom
Pandolfi reported that the catch basin in front of the Lucenti’s house will
excavated to see if it is leaking. Sink
holes have appeared in the Lucenti’s yard.
Tom
will work with J & A construction to block the end of The
catch basins will be cleaned again this year.
Treasurer’s Report: Rande
Chmura reviewed the May financial report. The
finances are in good shape – we may have a slightly larger surplus than
anticipated. Eric Werstler reported that
he has retained the same person as last year to mow the dam.
The cost is $850 per mowing. Two
mowings this year are anticipated. The low level outlet gate is
not closed completely at the suggestion of the engineer. Aquatic Control inspected
the weeds in the cove and reported that they are better than in the past few
years. They
expect to treat the lake the second week of July.
Tom Pandolfi volunteered to post signs – no water use on treatment day. Huteng’s
Beach brush removal will be done at a cost of $450.
This project will remove only a portion of the debris as much more has
been dumped since the original estimate. Next
meeting – July 13th A motion to adjourn the meeting was made,
seconded and carried unanimously.
