Woods Tax District Board
of Directors and Flood and Erosion Control Board Meeting August
25th, 2009
Members present:
Glen Humes, Eric Werstler,
Cliff Moon, Margaret Houlihan, Ken Braithwaite, Tom Pandolfi, and Rande Chmura.
Others present: Fred Chmura Absent:
Ron Zavarella and Karen Marshall Clerks Report: A motion was made by Ken Braithwaite and seconded to accept the minutes from the July 14th meeting. The motion was approved unanimously. Water testing by Premier Labs has not detected any problems at the beaches. No additional testing will be done after next week. Testing kits will be obtained to allow testing to be done without using Premier Labs. If test results exceed safe levels, Premier Labs will be contacted to do additional testing. This method will allow for additional testing at a lower cost. Testing results will be posted on the web site. Aquatic Control will survey the lake for weeds and do spot treatment if required. The
bend in the drawdown valve mechanism was deemed cosmetic by our engineer. The
lake drawdown plan is: Roads: Tom
Pandolfi reported
that Truax will clean the catch basins soon.
A
second bid has not been received for the drainage project.
An estimate will be obtained for additional drainage work at Zoning: Margaret
Houlihan reported that a permit for roof replacement was issued for 40 Crooked
Trail. Health, fire and safety: No
report Treasurer’s Report: A
motion was made by Glen Humes and seconded by Tom Pandolfi to obtain automobile
liability insurance for each board member so they may conduct lake business with
their personal vehicle and be covered for accident and other liability.
The motion was approved unanimously.
Rande
Chmura reviewed the monthly financial report.
