Clerks Report:

A motion was made to accept the minutes from the January 11th 2011 meeting.  The motion was approved unanimously.

Other Business:

Mike O’Shaugnessy addressed the board concerning plowing and sanding on Crooked Trail Ext.  Mike is concerned that the road is only one lane wide and has not been maintained in a timely manner.  Tom Pandolfi reported that over 40 yards of sand have been spread at a cost of $75 per yard.  The plowing contractor has begun widening the road.  This has been an unusually severe winter with above normal snowfall.  Discussion about placing sand barrels at problem areas followed.  Also discussed was the condition of the paved road at the “T”.    Safety Director Steve Heath noted that the road problems are a convenience issue, not a safety issue.

Lake , Dam and Beach:

Eric Werstler reported he opened the valve a little more this morning.  The level will be lowered when the snow starts melting.

Health, fire and safety:

Steve Heath had nothing to report.

Other Business – Steve Heath reported on the Witches Woods governance committee.  The covenants and restrictions documents are in their final draft.  The committee is working on the by-laws.  Rules enforcement is a major concern of the committee and Board.

Roads:

Tom Pandolfi reported the he is satisfied with the road plowing this year.  The roads have been plowed with no damage to vehicles.

 Treasurer’s Report:

Rande Chmura reviewed the financial report.  The district continues to be in excellent shape financially.  Snow plowing costs to date are $10719.

Fred Chmura completed paperwork with the state for FEMA reimbursement for storm related cost.

Rande reported more than normal delinquent taxes on part “B” payments this year.

Other Business:

Cliff Moon suggested that Facebook and Twitter accounts be established for the district.  The board agreed this should be done.
