Witches Woods Tax District
Board of Directors and Flood and Erosion Control Board Meeting
April 8th, 2010

Members present: Ken Braithwaite, Glen Humes, Eric Werstler, Margaret Houlihan, Cliff Moon and Rande Chmura. Absent: Ron Zavarella, Karen Marshall and Tom Pandolfi Others Present: Fred Chmura.

Clerks Report:
A motion was made by Ken Braithwaite and seconded by Glen Humes to accept the minutes from the March 10th meeting. The motion was approved unanimously.

Lake, Dam and Beach:
Eric Werstler reported that no inland wetland permit is required for the planned dam maintenance because this is a DEP requirement.
Buoys have been installed in the shallow areas of the lake. Swimming buoys will be installed at the beaches.
A dead tree in the center of the lake will be removed.
The dam maintenance project between the two lakes has been completed.
Sand has been ordered for the 2 beaches. Brush and debris will be removed from Huteng's beach by a contractor.

Roads:
Ken Braithwaite reported for Tom Pandolfi that spring road grading will take place on schedule. Additional material will be brought in this year.
The post at the end of Indian Spring Road will be reset during clean-up day.

Health, fire and safety:
Speed bumps will be installed at the "T". One section will be left out to allow cars to slowly pass without bottoming out.
ATV's continue to be a problem. Residents are urged to report violators to the state police.
Investigation of installation of a light at the Bungee Dam revealed that no pole is close enough to mount the light on.
The boat launch area will be cleared of brush on clean-up day.

Zoning:
Margaret Houlihan reported that no new permits were issued by the town of Woodstock.

Other Business:
The board expects to lose 3 existing members at the end of this year's term. 4 or 5 names were discussed as possible new members. Glen will contact potential candidates. The election will take place at the annual meeting.

Treasurer's Report:
Rande Chmura reviewed the financial report.

Fred Chmura led the discussion of the 2010-2011 proposed annual budget.
The reviewed budget contains no tax increase. Final board approval of the proposed budget will take place at next month's meeting.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made, seconded and carried unanimously.
