Witches Woods Tax District
Board of Directors and Flood and Erosion Control Board Meeting
March 10th, 2010
Members present: Ken Braithwaite, Glen Humes, Eric Werstler, Margaret
Houlihan, Cliff Moon, Tom Pandolfi and Rande Chmura. Absent: Ron Zavarella,
Karen Marshall
Clerks Report:
A motion was made by Glen Humes and seconded by Tom Pandolfi to accept the
minutes from the January 27th meeting. The motion was approved unanimously.
Roads:
The drainage project on Crooked Trail can proceed as the homeowner at 53 Crooked
Trail has been notified that the project will require cutting their driveway.
The other driveway that will be cut is now bank owned.
50% of the cost will be paid to J & A before the project starts.
February snow plowing and sanding costs were $3144.
Spring road grading will involve bringing in more aggregate this year.
Discussion about when a project should require competitive bidding followed.
Spring road grading will not be put out to bid this year. Bids will be sought
for mowing.
Lake, Dam and Beach:
Eric Werstler reported that dam grading will be done this spring; no permits are
required for this maintenance.
The Hutteng's beach lot will be cleared of debris. No Dumping signs will be
posted at both beach areas.
Rick Fiffer will bid on the dam mowing only if he gets the town of Woodstock
mowing contract.
The spring lake drawdown is being done.
Glen will order lake water testing kits.
Zoning:
Margaret Houlihan reported that no new permits have been issued by the town.
Health, fire and safety:
Glen asked that everyone keep an eye on empty houses.
Tom Pandolfi will investigate installing a light at the Bungay dam to alleviate
problems with loitering and broken glass.
Treasurer's Report:
Rande Chmura reviewed the financial report.
Next meeting we will create the proposed annual budget
Other Business:
Lake clean-up day will be scheduled for this spring.
A newsletter will be sent to residents before the annual meeting.
We will construct a fence at the low level water intake for safety reasons.
Next meeting - April 8th at 7PM
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made, seconded and carried unanimously.
