Clerks Report:

A motion was made by Tom Pandolfi and seconded by Eric Werstler to accept the minutes from the January 9th meeting.  The motion was approved unanimously.

Lake , Dam and Beach:

Eric Werstler reported Mattern Construction has competed about 75% of the outflow replacement project.

A cost overrun of approximately $2000 is expected for the concrete slab.  An additional expense of $2000 may be incurred for a compaction test.  Grading and seeding will be done in the spring.  Final payment will be made after that is complete.

Testing the valve by lowering the lake will be done on April 18th.  Aquatic Control stated that there should be no adverse environmental impact.  The valve will be closed after 7 days.

Civil Engineer Janet Blanchette is monitoring the project for the Board.

Roads:

Tom Pandolfi reported that January plowing and sanding cost $6938.  20 days of activity were reported.  Old Stone Road has been a problem.  Next year a can of sand will be placed near the road.

Health, fire and safety:

ATVs have left tracks on Koviciny Beach .  A previous (3-2007) legal opinion by Tom Borner indicated they are not prohibited from being used on the ice by our covenants.  ATV use on the roads is prohibited.  Tom Borner will be asked to write a letter to a certain ATV owner who has been operating very dangerously on the roads.

Zoning:

Margaret Houlihan had nothing new to report.

Treasurer’s Report:

The monthly report was emailed to board members prior to the meeting.

Next meeting – March 12th, 2009 at 7PM

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made, seconded and carried, unanimously.

Respectfully submitted,

Cliff Moon

Clerk
