Woods Tax District Board
of Directors and Flood and Erosion Control Board Meeting November
12th, 2009 Members present:
Glen Humes, Cliff Moon,
Ken Braithwaite, Tom Pandolfi, Karen Marshall and Rande Chmura.
Others present: Fred Chmura Absent:
Eric Werstler, Margaret Houlihan, Ron Zavarella Clerks
Report: A motion was made by Ken Braithwaite and seconded by Tom Pandolfi to
accept the minutes from the October 1st meeting.
The motion was approved unanimously. Glen Humes reported for Eric
that the lake lowering was going well. The
current level will be maintained for 3 or 4 more weeks.
The level will then be raised to a foot below normal.
We need a good freeze to kill plant growth. Roads: Tom
Pandolfi reported
that Truax reported two clogged drains.
The Bungee Fire department will be contacted to try to blow them clear.
Only
one plowing bid was received. Bob
Perry will do the plowing for about the same charges as last year.
Bob will not be doing the Bungee plowing this year as a lower bed was
accepted. Signs
for John
Albrecht’s bid on the remaining Crooked Trail drainage project was the only
bid received. A
motion was made by Cliff Moon and seconded by Ken Braithwaite to accept J &
A Excavation’s bid of $17,000 for installation of project ‘B’ section of
drainage on Crooked Trail. The
motion was approved unanimously. Runoff
from the hill near A
motion was made by Cliff Moon and seconded by Karen Marshall to install a catch
basin and tie it in to existing drainage pipe uphill from the beach.
The motion was approved unanimously. Sand barrels will be located at each lake entrance. Zoning: No
report Appeals: Karen
Marshall reported there were no appeals. Health, fire and safety: Karen
Marshall contacted state police troop
‘D’ for more police presence.
They will provide this. Treasurer’s Report: Rande
Chmura reviewed the monthly financial report.
Next meeting – December 17th at 7PM A motion to adjourn the meeting was made,
seconded and carried unanimously.
